Business and Community Intertwined

Jupiter Resources is an independent Calgary-based energy company with operations in Grande Cache, Alberta, focused on unconventional liquids-rich natural gas properties. We are active members of our communities inside and outside of the office, having supported and participated in Light The Night since 2018. We believe that Light The Night provides an opportunity to raise funds AND support patients suffering from blood cancers. On top of that, it’s a place for family and friends of patients to find support through community as they navigate the challenging job of being caregivers.

“Light the Night is a unique community event– it’s not your typical fundraising event. It’s family friendly, dog friendly, something meaningful to do with your family to show them the importance of community (especially for kids). There’s a huge impact from the visual representation of the lanterns, what each colour means, and seeing them all gathered together on one night. The people who take the time to show up never regret making the time for it, and really enjoy the whole experience,” stated Jenna Marttila, Jupiter Resources.

“We appreciate that LLSC comes and presents and shares the personal experiences – this gets our staff engaged and able to put a face to blood cancer. The Light The Night movie is incredibly impactful – reminding us how important this cause is, and how Light The Night helps people understand what a difference that the LLSC is making for our communities.”

At Jupiter, we recognize that the sustainability of our business and our communities are intertwined. We are committed to helping build strong, safe communities that we are proud to live in and be engaged neighbors. We seek and invest in long-term partnerships with organizations that are making a difference.
