After losing someone to a blood cancer, the experience has made me realize the importance of support. It takes a community to raise people up.

It was my brother, my uncle and the Regional Director of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada in Vancouver (Ryan O'Quin) who inspired me to take part in Light The Night this year. It will be my first time participating.

I was able to reach the $5,000 fundraising milestone by creating a regional team and extending out details out via email and social media.

Although it's my first Light The Night experience, and I know it will be different from the past events, Light The Night means hope to me. As we need to work together to ensure that this entire world feels support, with a blood cancer or without a blood cancer.

Do you have a story to tell?

As a supporter, in memory, or as a survivor… share with others why you are helping end blood cancers by participating in a Light the Night Walk
